*My 2 cents on Gravity*
It is easy to see that bullets do in fact get affected by a 9.8ms^2
acceleration, and that component does not ever change, because acceleration is
a measure of change in speed. But in either case, it is quite simple to see
that bullets do in fact have a component that deviates from straight ahead.
1st of all, the bullet itself might have a very small deviation of let's say 5
degrees, and with proper trigonometry you can calculate that it would yield a
very small vertical component... But the bullet itself if going VERY fast, and
is also "riding the air" so to speak; because of how fast the air molecules
are hitting it. I've heard over and over again, that the bullet WILL drop
32ft no matter what, but I would imagine guns do not work like that. How
could a rifle fire farther than a pistol then? It's obvious that there is an
upwards component, that along with incredible speed, yield far ranges.

Now I must delve into the other question arising in this subject... The
smartlink itself should be able to calculate ranges, and compensate for wind
speed (maybe even so far as calculating moisture in the air, and how it might
slow the bullet down). I would think that a smartlink would be an amazing
technological invention and would allow things that would obviously be easy
for computers of the future to do. As far as having 2 guns, it makes it quite
difficult to give the same TN -1. Because you can have 2 sights, but all
these things (regarding gravity, wind speed) need to be checked over by the
smartlink's system. This would lead to a larger amount of information, and
since the mind and smartlink have to work in concert, the user would lose
bonuses because his/her mind is lagging behind the smartlink.
(plus it's really unfair to have someone walking around with 2 guns and
bonuses like that. And we all know a new generation of 2 gun toting Sammy's
would arrive if this rule were ever abolished.)

Also... I would not allow someone to gain smartlink bonuses, if he or she
were shooting at a far target, while it was a windy day outside. The user of
the smartlink could always input the air speed; if he/she knows it, and then
the -1 TN would be applied. But keep in mind that the player would probably
need some kind of science knowledge skill to do this, or a good reason at
least.
