One of the email lists that a friend of mine participates in has a list member
who is an archeologist. The archeologist travels the world doing his digs but
he never leaves the list. Just recently he was in the middle of the Amazon and
still posting. His comment - a mobile phone and a lap top are all he needs.
Similarly, look at Iridium network now and project another 60 years of
development.

Chris Maxfield We are restless because of incessant
<cmaxfiel@****.org.au> change, but we would be frightened if
Canberra, Australia change were stopped.

Disclaimer

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
