Problem is, it IS _available_ for public view, intended or not.

Publication to the web, even without advertising the website, IS publication
to the PUBLIC.

And you should not have done that until you HAD those permissions. Keep the
site offline ENTIRELY until you are ready to put it up: i.e. have the code
straight, have the permission-to-use notices straight and on PERMANENT file,
and so on.

I know; for a while, in a gaming league online, I created and maintained one
team's website. I didn't put anything beyond a "coming soon" notice, and
_did_ ask the game's publishers for permission to use some in-game artwork
(citing the further support of the game as a fan site), and got it.

I held the entire page (already with the artwork, etc, in place) on my HOME
computer, and did not upload the pages until everything was settled and
straight.

As you should have done.
