OK folks...

The Viper slivergun should work exactly as its stated in SR3. You can do a
SA shot at
9S(f), or a burst at 12D(f).

When I did the SR3 gear section, I did a lot of cut and pasting, but I also
tried to check everything against previous errata and other sources. While
we didn't catch everything, the viper is correct as listed.

Of course, if you think its too powerful, you're more than welcome to change
it in your game.

FYI, I checked this with Mike too, just to make sure, and he's of the same
opinion.
