have
:on sonar? Either passive or active.
I believe "Cyberpirates" (or whichever sourcebook details this)
explains the effect. Basically, the "silenece" is, as far as the sonar is
concerned, a large sound absorbant globe. Not exactly subtle... Its a
lot more useful against passive sonar than active, although the "stealth"
spell might be even better.
:Next, using 2nd edition spells and following this train of thought...
:-- Physical Mask spells effect electronic detection devices.
:-- Vehicular Mask disuises a vehicle or drone.
:-- A jellyfish is practically nothing but water and would not be picked
up
:by sonar.
:So. Then. What happens if you mask your drone as a jellyfish?
You don't. "Vehicle Mask" masks your drone only as another kind of
drone, I beleive. Unfotunately, that spell is not published in SR3, so I
can't give you the exact limits, but I'd suspect that the resulting change
in signature would also be limited somehow (1/2 suceses, force, or
something similar).
