Subject: Anyboedy use Obsidimen?

According to Mongoose, at 11:59 on 16 Mar 99, the word on
the street was...

I don't use them, but I can offer my thoughts about how I'd incorporate
them into my campaign if I would ever want to...

Good idea, and assign those _before_ whatever racial modifiers you give
them. BTW, a reasonable way to convert from ED's attributes to SR's is to
take the ED step and subtract 1 (or was it add 1? subtract, I think).
Obsidimen in ED must have a Strength of 15, before modifiers, which is
step 6. This would equate roughly to a Strength of 5 in SR, IMHO.

> 2) Do you rule that they can not wear armor?

Not sure... I never really like game rules that flat-out say that
character type X cannot do something while character type Y can. I would
probably allow them to wear armor, but make the player understand that the
character feels very uncomfortable in it.

Only to Strength, to be precise. They get that +4 Toughness that almost
guarantees a pretty damage-resistant character, but they _can_ only put 3
points into Toughness if they want to.

Agreed. Although they're not really stone I do imagine it would be
difficult to operate on them. Cultured bioware _may_ be available, but I'd
probably double the cost or something similar to reflect its rarity.
