Great. The one request that I made when Rob Boyle asked the list what
we wanted to see in the new companion, and they didn't even put it in.
:P

For everyone, here's an expanded chart for use with the SR3 Build
Point system:

_______________________
| Resources | Build |
| Nuyen | Points |
|------------+--------|
| 500¥ | - 5 |
| 1,400¥ | - 4 |
| 2,300¥ | - 3 |
| 3,200¥ | - 2 |
| 4,100¥ | - 1 |
| 5,000¥ | 0 |
| 8,000¥ | 1 |
| 11,000¥ | 2 |
| 14,000¥ | 3 |
| 17,000¥ | 4 |
| 20,000¥ | 5 |
| 34,000¥ | 6 |
| 48,000¥ | 7 |
| 62,000¥ | 8 |
| 76,000¥ | 9 |
| 90,000¥ | 10 |
| 112,000¥ | 11 |
| 134,000¥ | 12 |
| 156,000¥ | 13 |
| 178,000¥ | 14 |
| 200,000¥ | 15 |
| 240,000¥ | 16 |
| 280,000¥ | 17 |
| 320,000¥ | 18 |
| 360,000¥ | 19 |
| 400,000¥ | 20 |
| 450,000¥ | 21 |
| 500,000¥ | 22 |
| 550,000¥ | 23 |
| 600,000¥ | 24 |
| 650,000¥ | 25 |
| 720,000¥ | 26 |
| 790,000¥ | 27 |
| 860,000¥ | 28 |
| 930,000¥ | 29 |
| 1,000,000¥ | 30 |
+------------+--------+

One option I'm considering, is an expansion past 30, for use in
creating characters that are above starting level, and particularly
for allowing experienced, mature roleplayers more freedom in choosing
some of the more expensive toys (Especially for riggers and some of
the other nuyen intensive archtypes). One option would be to just
continue the smooth curve set forth by the previous numbers.

On the above chart, steps between 15 and 20 increase by 40,000¥, steps
between 20 and 25 increase by 50,000¥, and steps between 25 and 30
increase by 70,000¥. Comparing the increases, 20-25 increases 10,000¥
more per step than 15-20, and 25-30 increases 20,000¥ more per step
than 20-25. For 30-35, I'd suggesst a 100,000¥ increase per step,
30,000¥ more per step than 25-30. This results in the following chart:

_______________________
| Resources | Build |
| Nuyen | Points |
|------------+--------|
| 1,100,000¥ | 31 |
| 1,200,000¥ | 32 |
| 1,300,000¥ | 33 |
| 1,400,000¥ | 34 |
| 1,500,000¥ | 35 |
+------------+--------+

While these numbers do continue the smooth curve put forth by the
other values, I am downright frightened by these numbers (An extra
half-mil for just 5 more build points?!?), even when put in the hands
of dedicated roleplayers. In the interest of game balance, and
diminishing returns, a better, simpler, and more scaleable solution
might be a flat 25,000¥ for each build point past 30.

Feedback anyone?
