tally is the general security of a host, then decker B would have a
tally of 10 upon arriving at the host. On the other hand, if the tally
is per icon, then decker B gets to start with a clean slate.

A gets into a MCT research node. He gets the tally up to trigger a
blaster IC. I don't foresee all icons in the node having to deal with
the upgraded security and the blaster IC..

I'm pretty sure each decker has their own security tally, as IIRC,
their tally carries over from one node to another, not necessarily
within the same system. So if I've got a tally of 10 on the Seattle RTG
and I log onto the Ares LTG I still have a tally of 10. IIRC. Remember,
I ain't big on decker rules.

is it for each individual? If it's the later one, then I would assume
that the first decker to wake up some IC is the one that will have to
deal with them (unless ICs just try to hit any intruder present)

multiple people, the IC program would be spawned and ran for each of
the intruders. At least, that's how I pictured it as working..

You're pretty much right, I think. The only time it differs (IIRC) is
if a decker triggers an active or passive alert. If that happens it
takes time for the alert status to downgrade and if a different decker
logs on during the alert he or she has to deal with the alert status,
even if their own security tally is less than that of the decker who
triggered the alert.
