:shooters I knew used red-dot sights of various types (mostly Aimpoints,
:but a few C-Mores were appearing). Not a laser to be seen, though. If
:the laser was faster then it would have been used - these guys were
:_quick_ shooters.
"Practical Shooting" is a sport. Maybe they don't use lasers for the
same reason indy car drivers don't use 5 liter supercharged engines- the
rules don't allow it. I think one of the few things practical shooters can
NOT do to thier guns is mount lasers, because the gun has to use "sights" as
its only aiming device (they can't use sopes, either, iirc). I also think
there's some rules on the bullets you use, just for shooter safety puproses.
Anybody know just what gun mods, etc are NOT allowed in "practical
shooting" competition?
