> Using the generalists view.. statistically speaking there should be
very few mages among the trapped inhabitants of the Renraku Seattle
Arcology. Ive only just gotten the RA:S sourcebook, but there are
things i need to know before I get time to read it back to back.

Statistics break down as far as megacorps, militaries and shadowrunners
are concerned. Such people go looking for magickers, so they tend to
find them. IMO, that'd make the occurrence of magickers between 5 and
10 times higher in those kinds of groups.

Even if you go for the base 1% magically active people, that's still
over 1,000 magickers in the arc. Using my figures, make it between 5
and 10k. And most of them will be security people or involved in
research.

On the other hand, Deus' knocked off a lot of the mages when he took
over.

> How many mages, shamans and adepts are among the blues and greens in
the arcology?

Stats not given. 1 to 10 or 20 is probably a good magical/non-magical
ratio to use for the blues. Make it 1 in 50 or 100 for the greens.

> How common is magical phenomenon in the arcology?

Not common. Not really rare either, though. Deus has enough magickers
working for him to have heaps of wards, hermetic circles and the like.
What kind of thing are you thinking of?

> Are there any awakened beings other than the above mages, shamans and
adepts?

Yes, although again, details aren't given. Renraku had a zoo, I
believe, with certain paranormals in it, and more dangerous ones were
held in experimental labs (probably - they're turning up in the arc, so
they must have been SOMEWHERE).

magical obstructions (or whatever kind?)

You can't really quantify it. There would be lots of wards and the like
around the exterior of the arc, as these are part of the defences that
went into place upon the lockdown. There were probably a lot of wards
around before that, too, what with all the research and experimentation
going on in there.

You can almost guarantee Deus has been having his pet mages keep the
wards active. Plus I'm sure he's had them place new ones in any
sensitive areas (the physical location/s of the computer hardware he
"lives" in, the reactor levels, possibly the zombie and experimentation
rooms etc.).

Basically, anything reasonable and somethings that are unreasonable you
can expect to bump into in there.
