Having looked up into this some more this afternoon, I think there's
also another context. This very formal way of saying "You": "You and
your House" was probably used to refer to these Anime/Video Game
Fanboys because you'd seldom find one outside their own house, they
don't get out too much. :)
One of the neat things about the "House" translation of word Otaku
and how it relates to Shadowrun: In the original Virtual Realities
book, there was a story about a boy named Renny who had been raised
in the Matrix since birth, and it started out "Your name is Renny,
and you live in a big house at the edge of the Matrix." Throughout
the story, there are different variations on that particular line,
always talking about Renny and his house in the matrix.
