:> In any case, the quickening is bonded to a single person- it can not
be
:> "moved" even if the "tattoo" can be. It would in fact be
destroyed if
it
:> was altered or moved, I think.
:
:I agree, but a seperate thought entirely comes to mind here. IF a person
:with a Tattoo were to have that area of his/her (its?) body damaged (say by
a
:sword swing or gunshot wound), what would happen to the Tat? Some options
:that come to mind for me are ...

There are two issues here- what happens to the tattoo, and how does that
affect the spell?

:1) As the Tattoo is part of the person's "aura", a Heal spell would also
:improve the condition of the Tat.

I don't think so. The tattoo ink is enchanted, but is not bonded to the
character or otherwise diffrent from a normal tattoo. It innert mater as
far as the "heal" spell is concerned. If you use the rules in
Cybertechnolgy, "heal" does at least reduce the chance of scarring, which
might help, if restoring the tattoo's aperance is a concern.

:2) Treat the entire thing as a magical object/entity, which heals rather
:quickly. However, *this* option lends itself to a nightmare IMO. As one
:heals, does the other? (EWG)

I don't think so. Again, the tattoo is not (by my read) magical in
itself. It is just part of a process that makes a stronger quickened spell.

:3) The Tat goes inoperative and must be repaired, which would require
:materials and resources similar to what put it on. Say, for every "box" of
:damage the person/tat has, 10% of the cost of the original materials, and
:another tattoo test/enchanting to get things back on track.
:
:4) The Tat is LOST (Personally, I don't like this option).
:

5) If the tattoo is substaintially damaged, the quickened spell is
henceforth treated as a normal quickened spell. Repair of the tattoo might
be possible as in #3, if the dmage is not extreeme, and would be a good idea
to stop future loss of the tat. Optionally, the tatto might have to be
expanded - the dmaged portion not repaired, but instead replaced with new
work, amking the whole picture bigger than normal.
