That is the problem. The Tattoo itself is an integral part of the
"Quickening" that is involved. And, if you read the descriptions for such,
it states that the Tattoo is more durable because it is being worked into the
persons' own aura...at least, it was that way in Awakenings...in MitS it just
mentions quickening the spell to the wearer of the tattoo/mark (what an
interesting word that is...). Oh, and btw, you do NOT want to heal the
"scar" effect, as that is exactly what a Tattoo is at the fundamental level,
a scarring. The Inks/Dyes used in the process are merely additives to
augment the appearance and durability of the scar itself.

...which is quickened to the person. I agree that *this* option isn't
something I'd do, but damn it does give me some twisted ideas...
