IIRC, there were nine (not three) orders of angels in the classical (&
so-called) "Celestial Heirarchy:"
(ranked lowest to highest)
Angels
Archangels
Principalities
Powers (or Virtues...)
Virtues (or Powers...)
Dominions
Thrones
Cherubim
and at the very top, Seraphim -- the "six-winged angels standing in
the presence of the creator."
