If you have penalties on the Stealth test, you can center against them.
For example, if the GM assigns you a -4 result for trying to be stealthy
on dry leaves, you could make a Centering test and reduce the penalty as
normal. Say you get 4 successes, then you'd only have a -2 modifier to the
result of your open test.
Centering for success is more difficult, but I'd probably (this has never
come up in any game I've GMed) allow an extra die to be rolled for every
two successes on the Centering test. So, if you have Stealth 5 and get 4
successes on Centering, you actually roll 7 dice.
