According to Scott Wheelock, at 9:33 on 22 Jul 99, the word on
the street was...

Neither do all the people seaching for a copy of the UB ;)

Joking aside, I think it may have to do with the UB being an outdated
thing in SR -- it was shut down by the UCAS government, after all -- while
QE can be run very much independent of the current date in a campaign.
Even after the great bug hunt, you can still use QE with a few minor
modifications. The UB becomes a lot harder to run in a late 2050s/early
2060s campaign.

It took me some browsing and digging in my memory to put the pieces
together again, I must say. What I find strange is that the adventure
nowhere says at what date (or even day) it begins, even though there are
dates in other sections -- you can fit everything together, but it'd have
been so much easier if FASA had done it for us :)

Missing Blood (the adventure from the UB set) is definitely the one to run
first, I feel. Queen Euphoria is a good adventure to introduce insect
spirits with, but if you run the UB first the players will much more
gradually find out about them, and then they'll encounter some that will
take a _lot_ of power to beat (on both occasions that I ran it, the PCs
ended up running away). It also shows them that the insect spirits aren't
just an isolated nuissance (that's the impression QE leaves, IMHO) but
that they have a rather large power base -- the Universal Brotherhood --
that will make them rather difficult to get rid of.
