Which explains to me a few of your initial connections. Thats' not bad, just
helpful.

Personally, I think Healing *should* be useful, especially given the
consideration that those Street Samurai don't use Magic, need healing (which
requires the mage) more than most, but in order to heal them, you have to
rely on constant magical boosting half of the time (or an insightfully
located background count location like a medicine lodge or ritual site on a
Ley Line) in order to hit those blasted 6+ target numbers.
Given the restriction(s) on Healing Magic in SR3, the idea of "Elemental Aid"
doesn't really frighten me much either.

mage gets from casting his own spells anyway in our games)
