I always liked the idea that Verjigorm's corrupted dragons made it to SR. (I
think Darke is really a pun on Drake, as in a corrupted drake, but
nevermind.)
A PC can't be a corrupted magician. (That's an NPC.) As GM, you can
allow an exception, but that's your choice. If the player is doing it to
gain power, it's an incredibly bad idea. If the player wants to roleplay a
character torn between good and evil, it might be fun. Afterall, who were
you really more impressed by, Vader or Luke?
