Wow. I'm boggled that my original post actually made it out to the
rest of the list.

Anyway, I'm not just talking about rulebooks. I'm talking about any
SR product.

Stuff like the European prequel novels to Worlds Without End
(Admittedly, those are actually Earthdawn products, but they deal
directly with Shadowrun characters).

The rumored Shadowrun Manga from Japan (_if_ it even exists).

Mint copies of flyers and promotional material (like the flier for
the Shadowrun: Assassin computer game that FASA Interactive was
working on until they got bought out by Microsoft).

Obscure lead miniatures like the "Dunky Humping Nadja" figurine that
Grenadier made but was pulled off the market (Alright, this is
actually _NOT_, repeat _NOT_ a real SR product, but a gag paraphrased
from Kevin Smith's "Clerks." comic book, but you get the idea).

Ah, E-bay, the great treasure trove! It is true that every SR
sourcebook shows up on there sooner or later. I've noticed though,
that there are a few books that when they show up, almost always seem
to sell for at least around twice their cover price (and that's the
just usual price if there isn't a huge bidding war over it). Even
though invariably, another copy of the same product will pop up for
auction at some later date.

While a categorization of "hard to get" or "must have" is ultimately
subjective, I'd say that if demand for those products is consistently
high enough that people pay at least twice cover price for a used
book, it's probably a safe assumption that quite a few SR collectors
do consider that particular title "hard to get" or "must have". Even
with the title being regularly available on E-bay.
