I agree with you, Hunter. And actually I just learned the system last year,
and it wasn't as hard to learn as I thought it was going to be. I read
through the mechanics section of the book and my brain hurt. But my friends
helped me make up a character and we just started playing. Actually
"learning on the fly" works really well. And the step system is simpler in
the long run.
