Hardwired is written by Walter Jon Williams and printed by Tor books. Two
of his other books, "Voice of the Whirlwind" and "Aristoi" are
actually set
in the same universe. They're widely spaced in time, but it does offer an
interesting look at the maturation of the cyberpunk technology.
Another good (if slightly more extreme) look at rigging is Falcon, by Emma
Bull.
