And don't forget that in combat, especially with several initiate level
mages, all of those high level foci are going to be blazing in astral
space. If the mages were doing a ritual casting, they were astral and would
have noticed that right away. Have one of them powerblast a foci or two to
knock him down. At the very least it makes him allocate some dice to spell
defense to protect them, which is what he should do.

First, remember that its a three point flaw, so he has to spend 40 hours a
week doing it. That's all of his days taken up, so no time for runs then.
If he pus in a 40 hour week and then goes on a run at 1:00am, he's going to
be tired. And he's not going to have very much time for training or
learning any new spells, let alone initiating or raising skills.

As to the flaw itself, being a broker for shadowrunners should be fairly
hefty. Have him make an Investment roll every week or month or whatever. If
he rolls 2 successes, he breaks even (for the normal money provided). More
than that he makes an extra 10 percent per success. Less than 2 he loses 10
percent per. If he critically fails, he loses half of it.

For a broker's job, he's making money on commission. To make a 3 point
flaw, taking a 20% cut, he's handling a lot of money from runner types. How
are they going to feel when he loses all of their money one week because he
was running instead of checking out the Boston Index? How many large
samurai or powerful mages are going to want to have a talk with him?

IMHO, this is one of the most dangerous Flaws I've ever heard. If you play
it right. <EGMG>
