ERNN, Wrong answer, but we do have some nice consolation prizes.

Parts for Class III weapons are resstricted depending on the kind of part
(furniture is easy, triggers groups and usually barrels as tight as the
gun), but they are still regulated. It all depends onthe weapon, but if
you are ordering, say, 20 MP-5 barrels, someone IS going to notice, and
most distributors will ask to see a copy of your Class III permit and/or
your FFL.
I can't imagine that it is any easier in Shadowrun.

Excuse me? We aren't talking belt fed weapons here. I have barrels that
are pushing fifty thousand rounds, and they are still good.

Have you ever tried to find spare parts on the underground market? Good
bloody luck, because you are going to need it. Remember that the average
purchaser of illicit arms is NOT weapons literate. If it doesn't work,
dump it.
Also, if you get caught with a case of weapons, none of which have been
linked to any crimes, you are going to get possession and trafficing
charges. They catch you with a single firearm of a type used in a series
of crimes and a case of spare barrels, you are looking at full charges for
every unsolved crime involving that type of firearm for the past couple
years.

Then you have to dump the brass someplace. If it is a couple of pistol
casings, OK, but when you go in with seven, fourty round magazines and you
leave the job with a half a magazine left, you have trouble sterilizing the
area.
Also, brass catchers, while a nice idea, are not always that useful. They
fill up FAST. That is fine if you are on a run where you don't plan on
firing more than a couple rounds, but when that op goes sour, having your
weapon jam becuase the brass catcher is full is not a good thing to have
put on your tombstone. They are also bulky as hell.
