It is still the United CANADIAN American States, right? Look at Canada's
gun laws. Until FASA comes out with a UCAS Statues (Annotated), I'm keep
harping on people to learn a little bit of Canadian law and social systems
if they want to run in the UCAS, and to remember that no section of the law
(except for racial and reproductive issues) has gotten less restrictive in
the past 60 years.

Really? You do realise that the barrels for, example, that the civilian
Uzi-varants use a the exact opposite twist directions on the barrel nut and
the rifling as the military versions, don't you? Or that barrels will NOT
swap between an HK-3x/HK-5x/G-3 and an HK-9x. That is to agree with US
import requirements. It is more than just barrels, but those are the most
common attepts at using military-spec parts on civilian-spec firearms. You
may be able to get some of those parts, but unless you are a machinist,
good bloody luck trying to get a lot of it to work.

> Pick up an issue of Shotgun News, you can order any AR barrels you want,

I generally try not to. To many cons, frauds and questionable dealings in
there for my taste. One of these days, that rag is going to get shut down
as part of a plea bargin to keep from having the owners and editors slapped
with accessory charges, and it wouldn't suprise me if thier orders are
monitered the same as Paladin Press or Shomer-Tec orders.

>complete G-3 kits, FN-FAL kits, etc.

And what are you missing from those? The reciever and the trigger group.
They are dress up-kits for things like the SAR-4800 and the SR-9 (good luck
on that last).

>Do all barrels wear out?, no, CAN barrles wear out?

Yes. I've seen cheap crap wear out in a couple thousand rounds. However,
go into a gun store and try to find a non-T/C Contender, non-1911 or
non-10/22 barrel some time. It isn't very common.
Now look at shadowrunners- no SIN, no sale from any reputable dealer.
Most fixers aren't going to carry spare parts, although an armourer might,
mainly becuase shadowrunners (a) don't hang on to a gun for more than a
couple hundred rounds as rule, and (b) most runners are no more
proffesional or weapons-literate than your average street punk. And if
you are stupid enough to do mail order for your weapons, you deserve to
have you order tagged for observation and have you credstick investigated
by someone.

>A barrel is not a weapon, it is not illegal. 1 count of possessing an

20 pistols + 10 empty slots in the crate= 20 counts of possesion and a
charge of illegal distribution (that last may get talked down to
conspiricy, and the multiple possession charges still won't add more than a
year to your sentance when dealing with Feds, I can't say for certain for
most states.)
1 pistol + 19 barrels + 19 firing pins + invoice for 30 barrels and pins
or some empty shipping sleeves/boxes + gunsmithing tools (most barrels
require some minor fitting IME) = Possession charges and an instant intrest
in pinning every unsolved homicide and attepted homicide that invovled a
pistol of the same caliber, barrel length, and rifling twist and speed as
yours over the past year on your little ass, espcially if they can run ammo
lot and you should happen to the left overs a case of ammo from that lot.
Unless you have a really good alibi (ie: "Your honor, my client has been a
coma at Mercyless Specific for the past 18 months"), you are going to the
electric chair, even if all they can pin on you is one murder. Even if you
odn't have any empty containers that they use as evidence, they are still
going to try and put you before 12 people, good and truely incapable of
pooring the sand out of a boot with the instructiosn of that manuver
printed on the heel.
