It's also used in the some of the mechanized units. Have you ever
seen the inside of a BTR? I'd want a short weapon too.

Fully passive infrared out to a range of 600m? Yeah, I'd say kick
ass. Maybe not in today's day and age, but there's a reason the CIA
offered a bounty of $10,000 for Dragunov rifles in the 1970's. And here's
a hint - it wasn't because they wanted to know about the rifle itself.
