I wasn't going to reply to this, but there are some things need to be
spoken to.

Outisde of my group at college, everyone I play with has seen too much of
this stuff in real life and had to walk away from it too many times- if we
are seeing it in a game, then it is the "bad guy", and we all know what
happens to them at the end of the movie. It will most assuredly not be
someone our alter egos have to depend on.

Trust me. I either got a real tight grip on it, or I'm one of the
thousand least sane people on this continent.

There isn't a single thing that SR can throw at me that will "harden" me.
If you think a game will do that, you are deluding yourself.

>pay for knowledge? and two, when it's not even real and it bothers you that
>much, seek help.

The reason why it bothers people is beucase they don't like being around
people who enjoy creating and being an alter ego that screwed up in the
head and heart. I would say that anyone who enjoys being someone else is a
little screwy (I think that covers everyone here.), but one it is a grade
"A" freak that you enjoy being, don't take offence if others start
wondering if you are the one who might need help, because for most
roleplayers, thier characters are based on a facet of thier personality.
Everyone has a "dark side", but there is no reason to let it out for fun.
