As I have said before; most GMs will through their own touchs in (hopefully)
but a lot of GMs do not have the <time/inclination/imagination> to come up
with their own adventures. In many ways, we pay FASA to do that work for us.
For Instance; many people use SR1 or 2 or a smattering of whatever they
want, others just keep going with teh storyline, adding touches in varying
amounts. If FASA does not provide the material and the GMs make everything up
themselves, then they don't sell much.
So, the atmosphere books ("lifestyle") are useful to a wide variety of
people. :-)
