And, because you are (were?) a shadowrunner, you have left yourself wide open
to taxation problems of all sorts. IF you do not have a SIN, then you have
to use various channels to get everything. Sure, landlords may/may not check
references in 2050/60, that is probably a regular thing then, just like now,
but what about other questions that arise?

That nice car is going to suffer wear/tear. You gonna be a recluse? Okay,
you've got a chance to afford yourself for a while. You're not? Then you
are going to have pay the price for a social life, and that means stuff like
dinners, buying the gals/guys drinks now and then.

Oh, wait a second, the Sprawl is dangerous. You suffered an accident.
Remember, your insurance only covers *X* amount of your medical bill, unless
you have total coverage, and even then that cool million can only go so far
(can you just imagine? Take a *GOOD*, *SOLID*, look at Docwagon for
instance).

Okay, now exactly how old were you when you got that Million again? 50?
You're human, yes? Okay, you have enough for perhaps 10-15 years. Which,
presuming you don't run into any major lifestyle problems (accidents, sudden
relatives showing up due to your windfall...sudden visits from people who
*WANT* your windfall money), you should be okay.

Oh, you mean you're only 25??!!?? Oh man, in 15 years you'll be 40 and
without a job and no job references for 15 years. Just what were you doing
in those years buddy? Nothing??!!??!!!!!!! Get out of my office!!! (yes,
I've heard and seen this actually)

Its' been said now, a Million is nice, but depending on your age and what
level of lifestyle you are going to live, it ain't much.
