Hate to disagree with you there, amigo, but he's right. "Prescient" means,
roughly, "to know before," and prescience is a synonym for precognition.
For an example of this in action, go read the first three DUNE books by
Herbert. Paul Muad'Dib is frequently described as being prescient,
receiving this gift (curse?) by way of the Water of Life.
