haven't been in a position of choosing camoflage colors for use in an
urban military setting with mixed forces. But some people have,
recently; take a look at CNN footage of the UN forces in Yugoslavia.
Same job [sort of] and it gives you an idea of what decisions are made
by each force [varying opinions based on nationality]. Also, you get to
see what stupid choices can occasionally be made by the military
mindstate. And it's an urban setting. Presto!
This is all very well and good, but there are a few problems with that.
a) Where can one find that footage on the net? Does CNN have a webpage,
and is the footage available from the page?
b) This helps me diddly-squat. :) I'm looking at a highly professional,
highly trained and EXTREMELY expensively equipped team. NO mistakes as
far as equipment goes. (That's part of the idea - they end up relying
on toys too much.)
Btw, the generally acerbic tone of the message should not be taken to
indicate a lack of gratitude. I AM grateful for your help, guys. I'm
just in a generally testy mood for some reason.
