Mark, I think it is time you quit reading a given bit of material for the
immediate wording and *try* and understand the intent. The "African Nation"
being spoken/sung about has NOTHING to do with Africa as a
continental/tectonic plate. It has to do with those people that feel a
unity/gathering in the term "African" and have formed a more abstract
definition of what it means to be a "Nation." This is more a
super-social/uber-political force than it is a standard descriptive use of
terminology.
