Thanks :)
I've been new (I still am, I guess; I don't think anyone would say
I'm a regular). Way back when, I logged on to #shadowrun, and whined a
bit about Canadian funds, the price of SR3, what was changed, should I
buy it, yadda yadda. I was dealt with in a very polite manner, and I'm
thankful for it. So when this fellow posted his query about SR3, I
replied, ignoring the fact that the subject matter irritated me, in the
hope that I'd answer the question as fully as I could, and thus stop
the topic before it got out of hand. Oh well :)
As for non-abrasiveness...here's how I write mail: I press "Reply,"
and say exactly what I want to say, foul-mouthed and no-holds-barred.
Then I delete it, and write a tamer, but still sarcastic message. Then
I delete _that_, take a deep breath, and try to be tactful. If that
doesn't work, I cancel the message (on good days; sometimes nasty stuff
still escapes, after all, I'm human). It works for me :)
Geez. Now this sounds very holier-than-thou. Take my word that it's
not meant that way :) I just don't want this list to go the way of
some others I've been on...it's too good a list to lose.
