I tell my players that they have to shed some armor to cope with the heat or
have a Martin Lawrence incident. If they are of tougher stock then they just
sweat all of the time and look obvious. This is one of the balancing
influences I use to keep my players from walking around armed to the teeth.
It also has a nice side effect of reducing the amount of concealed weapons
they carry. Needless to say they love the winter time.
I've seen personal air conditioners that do a real good job, but then you
get into the same area where people wearing full clothing and a personal AC
unit are suspected just as if they were packing heat. Not to mention the
noise they make, even if quiet there is high frequency noise and EM
emissions.
Usually they are reduced to basic armor clothing or possibly partial
form-fit (nothing like a skin rash).
