p. 54 -- MitS:
"The Drain Code for health spells includes the Touch Range and Voluntary
Subject modifiers (see p. 56). ..."
"A permanent health spell does not apply the +1 Drain Level modifier for a
permanent spell if it resotres the target to normal health. ..."
So, for Heal the 'reverse engineering' is:
Heal or cure malady (DL)
Voluntary Target (-0)
Touch Required (-0)
Permanent (+0)
Treat adds the "Restricted Target" modifier.
Thank you! That's all I wanted to know. I was simply seeking an
authoritative source for determining how long he should be confined to bed.
Btw, we were very aware of the fact that biotech should be used to stabilize
him rather than Stabilize and that biotech must be used before any attempts
at Heal/Treat. Short of a Deadly wound, (my copy of SR3 states) biotech
usage can heal one wound level, often from Serious to Moderate, while
Heal/Treat can heal the rest (boxes up to Force).
Thanks again,
