IIRC, Control is the power that is used to enhance the Jedi's own abilities,
including hibernation / suspended animation, reflexes, speed, strength and
the enhancement of lightsabre damage and skill. Sense includes 'I feel a
tremor in the force!' and deflecting the shots of laser-weilding tennis
balls while wearing a helmet with the blast shield down, and would cover
deflecting blaster shots I think. Alter is telekinesis, suggestion and other
physical and mental manipulations of objects and beings seperate from the
Jedi's own body. Various combinations were given for specific powers (I
would suggest Sense/Control combo to deflect a projectile).
