of being incorrect and further muddying the waters,
but here goes. You cast either Treat or Heal at the
wound level of the target of the spell (this is per
wound, so six L wounds would each be treated/healed
separately rather than one S).

Yes, but remember that the "wound level" is only for
drain purposes.

> > The number of successes removes one box of injury
per success. Any successes left over reduces the
length of the spell time.

Pretty much, although you can CHOOSE to leave some of
the damage unhealed in order to devote more successes
to casting time, so you can speed up the process.

> One spell per customer, no other treatments but time
to heal after it is cast

Yup. However, there's something that must be said
about this. I'll say it below, though, where Starrngr
directly contradicts what I'm about to say.

Remember, though, you can't use first aid AFTER you
cast a healing spell. You CAN use it before, however.

> Ok. After consulting B3^3 (aka the Sr3 softcover)
on page 194 it says "A charecter can only be magicaly
healed ONCE for any SINGLE SET of injuries". This is
probobly a change from SR2, which is creating the
confusion. So, as I understand it, #1, if you take 6
L wounds, when you cast Heal or Treat your drain is S,
period. #2) you cant use Treat/Heal again on that
person until they are done healing normally.

Yes and no. I'm really quite sure that if that person
is later injured again, you can heal them again - but
the healing only works against the NEW set of wounds.
So say a dude takes a serious wound and you heal him
down to moderate. Then he takes another light wound
and you heal him again. Just because you get 4
successes on your test, that doesn't mean he isn't
wounded anymore. The first success removes the new
wound. The last three can ONLY be applied to the
casting time.

So it's worthwhile to heal your guys as often as you
can. You've got a better chance of healing them if you
do it each time they take a light wound (and you're
likely to take less drain), rather than waiting until
it accumulates up to a moderate or serious wound.

> Interestingly enough, a common rule seems to have
vanished, namely that you cant Treat/Heal damage
caused from drain (although there is a referance to
that fact in one of the 'fiction' sections). However,
it does note on page 126 that Treat/Heal can only be
used on PHYSICAL wounds... This however leaves a
loophole open of where one could cast a spell on the
astral, take Physical damage, and then return to one's
meat and have it healed because it is physical and not
stun.

Well, Robert and Gurth (IIRC) have both already
mentioned that you can't heal physical damage caused
by drain. I don't know if they've explicitly mentioned
this, but it's worthwhile to say that that rule
applies both to physical drain caused by casting a
spell too powerful for you AND to physical drain
caused by casting ANY spell on the astral.
