before.
i have a player who is making a character for a new, small campaign (3
players and me as dm)
the problem i have is that while his character concept is really cool
and original, it might not be very practical for a campaign.
he is basing his character off of the security specialist-animal
handler, in the corp sec book. he is a loner who trains paranormal
animals for people, formerly having done this for knight-errant in an as
yet undetermined city otherthan seattle. so he is in seattle, has no
etiquette skills to speak of (but has a high charisma) and is not really
a very combat oriented character. he says he doesn't want his char to be
a shadowrunner, just someone who does little odd jobs on the side.
the other two characters, one a former military man and the other a
street-raised PA, are very combat-oriented and have histories worked out
that include wetwork and the such.
how can i reconcile this in a campaign that will appeal to all three? i
like the character for its originality and all, but it might not be
feasible. or better yet, how can i make it feasible. what can i do to
help mesh them together?
any help from this long post would be appreciated. thanks.
