Most definately! My husband was informed before we got married that my
season tickets (FSU Seminoles {college football}) were among my more
prized indulgences and that he would be expected to reschedule gaming to
accomodate the football games, attend all the home games, learn to do the
chant and wear garnet and gold, and understand that for hours at a time I
would be unwilling to discuss anything other than the game at hand!
He knows now that from Late August/Early September to January 5, the
quality and state of my mood and his love life depend entirely on how many
points we scored in the last game. In short, I don't know who started the
ugly rumor that guys are the only football fans, but it is not true.
Hopefully, my husband will learn to truly appreciate the game in the
years to come- at least he has stopped taking books with him to the
stadium!
