FWIW, we were much better behaved this this year then when the Avalanch
won the Stanley Cup :)

Quick background: The Denver Broncos, an American Football team, won
this year's championship game. The also won last years championship
game. Back to back Super Bowl wins is no small feat, so we (in Denver)
have cause to celebrate :)

The rowdy people were the drunk idiots who poured out of the downtown
bars and thought the way to celebrate was to light newspaper bonfires
and break shop windows. Thankfully it was confined to one block of
downtown, and the police were ready and moved in quickly this year.

After what happened after the Stanley Cup win, and last year's Super
Bowl win, the smart people knew better then to go downtown to watch
this year's game. That left one small band of easily controlled
idiots.

Newspaper burns brightly so it made for good news video. Ditto for the
unrestrained use of tear gas by the police (they've learned their
lessons after the last two times :) But there really wasn't that much
to it this time.
