Hey all,

Um. This is weird, I'm actually writing an introduction to a mailing list
I've subscribed to, rather than just coming out of nowhere to offer a
diatribe.

Hi. I am Stuart. I GM Shadowrun, have done since 1993 - though occasionally
I used to play. I still create characters (you know, personalities,
histories, etc.) for the hell of it though. There was a brief hiatus as my
group and I did our final school year and went our separate paths. Now
we're back together, and I remembered why I used to get bitter. (C:"I get
the gun" I:"Chris, you're not there. You're in a different country. "
C:"I'm there now". I:"No, you're not". C:"Yes I am".
I:"No, you're not".
C:"Okay, I'm not, but Matt's character gets the guns." M: "No, he
doesn't"
etc.). Still, I laugh, and we're in this for fun, afterall.

In those early days I used to be a poor arsed adolescent [now I'm a poor
arsed uni student] who bought lots of CDs, and not SR sourcebooks,
choosing, instead, to write my own rules and worlds and stuff. Most of the
stuff I came up with appeared in similar forms in FASA products further
down the track (most which I now have). Annoyed, I was, especially because
it highlighted my (perceived) lack of originality. I prefer to GM
dicelessly, its much smoother I find.

I was planning to write a Australasian net.book, but it seems Lady Jestyr
has beaten me to the task. :-)

Oh, yeah, I'm Australian. Residing in Sydney. Studying Media (Film), Music,
and Law at Macquarie University in Marsfield. I read a lot. I write a lot.
I listen to music a lot. I compose a lot. I think far too much. I am the
'Deep and Meaningful Advisor' to Reality Puppeteers (see
http://www.ozemail.com.au/~ffry/RP/ ). We're working on a film project that
is quite cyberpunky hopefully dummy shots will be up on the web soon enough.

I either write/talk very little, or very much. I subscribe to far too many
mailing lists, and fall behind in everything; and am two years behind my
book purchases in terms of reading.

To show that I'm listening, already, I'm 19, and as is all of my current SR
