The character would use their own skill as he is directly controlling the
vehicle.

Sure they can, they just can't use it. :) MitS explicitly states that
only materialized Allies can use 3D movement. It also explicitly states
that Allies with the inhabiting cannot manifest or materialize.

I'd suggest treating Noxious Breath as capable of affecting combustion
driven vehicles. Each level of damage adds +1 to target numbers to
increase speed. Deadly damage causes the engine to cut out, etc. :)

The rating with the geas, *as long as ALL the geasa the character has
taken are met*
