Technically, that makes them Protestants because they broke away from
Catholicism; in practice, though, spotting the difference between a Church
of England service and a Catholic service is very difficult to the layman
(e.g., me :)

Just about all the German sourcebooks mention when it comes to Westphalia
and religion is the German-Catholic church.

I can't find a mention of that (either way) while quickly reading through
Deutschland in den Schatten and Chrome & Dioxin, but it could well be
true.
