Oh, certainly. If you look at the layout of the original Stuffer Shack, it
has two sets of aisles at a 90 degree angle to each other. This is very
good if you want to get players nervous, but rather poor from a security
perspective :)

The only real adjustment the newer adventure makes is to out all the
aisles in the same direction, and take a corner out of the store. I don't
think the layout is any more open, though :)
