Tandy sold off it computer manufacturing facilaties to AST computers in '92
or '93. AST couldn't keep up with the number of computers that RadioShack
needed. The Shack then switched to IBM who could keep up with the quantity
needed but there were custmer service issues and IBM was dropped for Compaq.
