You listed the primary sources in canon lit, BJ. NAGNA is horrendously
bogus about Texas and the South in general. Wordman's website has some
info, but some of the stuff he links to is either broken or bogus in itself.
Some of the upcoming books have a little bit on the CAS and Texas in them,
so if you can be even a little bit patient, there's more on the way.
Nexx gave you a good rundown on attitude. Just don't overdo it with the
cockiness and other stereotypes. It's true to a point, but anything can
look like a parody if you're not careful.
>From where I sit, a lot of Texans are looking to get the lands stolen by
Aztlan in the 2030s back, get the map of Texas back to where it was when it
was part of the USA, and leave well enough alone. There are, today, groups
who seek an independent country; one in particular styles itself the
Republic of Texas, claiming that Texas was never lawfully annexed by the
USA, and has therefore been a free country since, oh, 1845. I don't happen
to buy that one myself, much as it would please me in real life. In any
case, there will be groups in the future who feel the same way, some more
violently than others.
But you should have a semi-decent idea about it by now. Let us know how it
works out.
