Not to get bludgeoned but if you're looking for SR material
Palladium's Rifts is full of spiffy powered armor.
As for novels, the original Heinlein "Starship Troopers" featured
the mobile infantry in PA (which is why they had no worries about throwing
nukes around like it was going out of style.
