But I think the question now is: Are mages actually allowed to choose the
form of their watchers. I say sorta. I make mages, the first time they
summon a watcher, decide what style or image they'd like for their watchers
(something that matches the character), and then after that, all of their
watchers follow that same theme.

This prevents things like we saw over at DeepRes awhile back where players
were going on about have a watcher manifest in the form of a door or
something else equally useful. Or else, have them manifest making particular
noise--as if watchers are some type of high-quality audio-reproduction
system. They seemed to be under the impression that having a watcher
manifest was equivalent to a free illusion spell.

So anyway--basically, I like to let them give watchers a little flair, but
it's always still a watcher, and no one's ever going to mistake it for a
hellhound or somesuch.
