There were a great many attacks on civilian centers in WW2 that resulted
inmore deaths than this, Hiroshima and Nagasaki as you mentioned but also
the Rape of Nanking, the firebombings of Tokyo and Stutgart? The Battle of
Lenningrad.

That said while all of them may have been atrocities they were at least
commited in the prosectuion of a war and do not come close to a terrorist
attack. The closest indeed is Pearl Harbor but even that involved mostly
military deaths, in reality there is nothing whatsoever in history to
compare to this.


And finally while I may not be much of a Bush supporter lets not have any
political bashing of him in here as I guarantee there are plenty of his
supporters in here who would quite likely be offended by it and it can lead
to nothing but a flamewar.
