If you search any of the on-line Nostradamus databases you will find that this was not one
of his quotes.

OK, I was bored and followed the link you gave through their FAQ and out to their search
list. I found the following:
==============ÆQ96
Great city abandoned to the soldiers,
Never was mortal tumult so close to it:
Oh, what a hideous calamity draws near,
Except one offense nothing will be spared it.

C6Q97
At forty-five degrees the sky will burn,
Fire to approach the great new city:
In an instant a great scattered flame will leap up,
When one will want to demand proof of the Normans.
===============
In general I follow the opinion "If you spout enough nonsense, it will apply
somewhere" when dealing with Nostradamus. But those two look very appropriate to the
events of yesterday.

The pentagon's about city sized, and is definitely 'abandoned to the soldiers'.

I think NYC is somewhere in the lower to mid 40's latitude, someone yell if I'm wrong.

Just my two cents.
