Aha! This one I know off the top of my head after discussions relating to a
'cartoon shaman' with one of my players last week. Ally spirits do have to
take drain (I, too, thought that they did not). It is Free Spirits with the
Sorcery Power that do not have to take drain. So if you get your ally spirit
to take your drain, then it resists with its Willpower and Spell Pool (?)
just like you do.
